Study into reducing symptoms of ME

white-art

The biggest study to date into possible ways of reducing the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, or ME, has concluded that talking combined with increasing amounts of exercise works best. The research, recently published in The Lancet, studied 640 people and found that those using CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) together with GET (graded exercise therapy) improved the most. This concurs with the experience of many psychotherapists of various disciplines who work with sufferers of CFS/ME.
